MOROCCO ITINERARY 10 DAYS

Our 10-day Morocco tour begins with your pickup from the airport or your accommodation in Casablanca, the largest city and economic hub of the country. We will visit the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco, situated on a promontory along the city's west coast, offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. After some free time for lunch, we will continue to explore the city, including the beautiful Corniche of Casablanca. You will spend the night at a hotel.

After breakfast, we will drive along the coastline to Rabat, one of Morocco's imperial cities and the current capital. During our visit, you'll explore the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of Oudaya. You'll have some free time for lunch before we continue our journey north through Ouazzane to the Blue City of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. This charming city is renowned for its white and blue-painted buildings and alleyways. We will spend the night at a hotel.

After breakfast, take some time to explore the charming alleyways of Chefchaouen, the blue city. Next, we will drive to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its remarkable preservation. Here, you can admire beautiful mosaics, ancient pillars, and archways scattered throughout the site. After our visit to the ruins, we will travel 30 kilometers to the city of Meknes, recognized as the Ismaili capital and one of Morocco's imperial cities. In Meknes, we will visit several notable sites, including Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal Stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Finally, we will head to Fes, where we will spend the night in a Riad.

After breakfast, we will embark on a guided exploration of the city's highlights. Fes is renowned as one of Morocco's imperial cities and serves as its cultural and religious hub.

Our day begins at the Royal Palace gate, followed by a visit to the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will enter through the Blue Gate, or Bab Boujloud, which marks the entrance to the old Medina. Inside, you will see the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine Fountain, and the Tanneries. We will also visit the Quaraouin Mosque and University, recognized as the oldest university in the world.

Next, we will leave the Medina to explore the Jewish quarter, known as the Mellah. In the afternoon, we will drive to an ancient fortress that offers panoramic views of the Medina and the city of Fes. Finally, we will return to your Riad.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we head south through Imouzzer to explore Ifrane, a city renowned for its chilly temperatures, snowfall, and alpine-style architecture. It's no surprise that it's often referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco. Our journey then takes us to a cedar forest, home to the Barbary macaques. Feel free to feed them as you stroll through the woods.

Next, we continue to Midelt, where you'll have some free time for lunch. Afterward, we drive to Merzouga, passing through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and alongside the scenic Ziz Valley, with stops along the way for breathtaking views.

In the afternoon, we arrive at the Sahara desert in Merzouga. Here, you'll switch to camels for a ride across the sandy landscape, making a stop atop a high dune to take in the stunning sunset. Finally, we proceed to the desert camp, which blends traditional nomadic tents with the luxury of a hotel. Enjoy the rhythm of Berber drums as you dance around the campfire beneath a vast, starry sky. Dinner and overnight accommodations await you.

Waking up early in the morning is essential to witness the stunning sunrise in the heart of the desert. After enjoying some free time for breakfast, you can return to the camp via a 4×4 vehicle or on camels as you traverse the sand dunes to Merzouga. Alternatively, ATVs are available for an additional cost.

On the sixth day of your 10-day itinerary in Morocco, we will explore the Merzouga region, which boasts a wealth of incredible sites, including sand dunes, a wild lake, mining areas, fossil sites, and beautiful oases—perfect for a variety of outdoor activities.

Our adventure in Merzouga begins with an off-road drive to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. Next, we will meet with local nomads in their handmade woven tents, where you can learn about their way of life while enjoying a cup of Berber tea. Our journey continues to Khamlia village, where you can experience Gnaoua music and dance performances. The village's residents hail from sub-Saharan countries such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. You will have free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

After breakfast, we depart from the desert to explore Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a significant trading hub in the region, with a bustling souk that comes alive on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

After wandering through the Rissani Souk, we head to Erfoud, where we visit a workshop specializing in fossilized marble. Next, we drive through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the stunning Todra Gorges. The Todra River has carved a magnificent canyon through the mountains, making these gorges a popular destination for rock climbers. Take some time to explore the gorges and soak in the breathtaking scenery. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant before we continue our journey to the Dades Valley, passing through Boumalne Dades. We will make essential stops to admire the “monkey fingers” rock formation and to take in the view from a vantage point overlooking the Dades Valley. Finally, we will have dinner and spend the night at a hotel.

After breakfast, we set off for Kalaa Magouna to explore the Rose Valley, where an annual Rose Festival takes place in May, showcasing local rose products. Next, we drive through the picturesque palm groves of Skoura before arriving in Ouarzazate, often referred to as the gateway to the desert. Here, we will tour the film studios where several famous movies were filmed.

Our journey continues to the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic site has been featured in numerous films, including Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, as well as in the TV series Game of Thrones. We then proceed to Marrakesh, traversing the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the stunning High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we will make stops for lunch and to capture photos at scenic viewpoints. We will spend the night in a Riad in Marrakesh.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we will embark on a guided exploration of the highlights of Marrakesh. This city is one of Morocco's four imperial cities. Our visit will include the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the Ben Youssef Quranic Mosque, followed by a stroll through Morocco's largest traditional souk. You'll have some free time for lunch near Jemaa El-Fna square. Later, we will visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakesh, and the Majorelle Garden. Finally, we will transfer you to your accommodation, and you are welcome to explore Jemaa El-Fna at your leisure.

On the final day of our tour, we will take a brief excursion in the vibrant city of Marrakesh. Afterward, we will head north to Casablanca airport, making stops along the way to enjoy scenic views. Finally, we will transfer you to the airport, marking the end of the tour.
