Your 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes kicks off with a morning departure from your hotel in Marrakech. You'll journey through the stunning High Atlas Mountains, making your way to Ait Ben Haddou. Along the route, you'll have the opportunity to admire traditional Berber villages, take in breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains, and stop at scenic viewpoints for photos.

Upon reaching Ait Ben Haddou, you'll explore the historic Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987. This iconic location has served as a backdrop for numerous famous films shot in Morocco, including Gladiator, Prince of Persia, and segments of the TV series Game of Thrones and O Clone.

After enjoying lunch in the village, you'll continue your drive towards the Dades Gorges, passing through Ouarzazate and the picturesque Valley of Roses. Once you arrive at the Dades Gorges, you can visit the unique rock formations known as "monkey toes" before settling into your accommodation for the night.

After enjoying a delightful breakfast, you'll embark on a scenic drive along the Todra River, surrounded by lush palm groves and traditional Berber villages, leading you to the breathtaking Todra Gorge in Tinghir, renowned as one of the most stunning canyons in the world. From there, you'll continue your journey to the Merzouga desert.

Before reaching the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, your driver/guide will recommend a visit to a traditional Berber shop, where you can take complimentary photos while wearing a Berber outfit. If you wish, you can purchase items, with scarves being particularly suggested for the desert. However, buying is entirely optional, as the primary aim of the shop is to celebrate Berber culture. If you're not interested in visiting the shop, simply inform your driver/guide, and you can bypass it.

Upon your arrival in Merzouga, you'll have the chance to embark on a camel ride into the desert to witness the stunning sunset over the dunes and try your hand at sandboarding. Later, you'll spend the night in a luxurious desert camp, where a delicious dinner awaits you, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of the Sahara.

We highly recommend an early rise today to witness a breathtaking sunrise from the nearest dune. After enjoying a delightful breakfast at the camp, your adventure in the Merzouga desert will begin. Our 4×4 SUV will take you to meet the Berber Nomads living beyond the dunes, where you'll learn about their way of life and how they thrive in such an isolated environment, along with insights into their rich culture. You'll also explore the quaint, abandoned village of Mefis, experience the sounds of Gnawa music in Khamlia, and visit the Lake of Birds, provided it’s full.

After lunch, we will head to your Riad for check-in, allowing you some free time to relax. You can choose to take a refreshing swim or enjoy a leisurely walk to the nearby dunes. In the evening, dinner will be served, and you will spend the night at your Riad. If you prefer, you also have the option to return to the desert camp for the night.

Following a delicious breakfast at your Riad, we will embark on our journey to Fes. Along the way, we will pause to take in the stunning views of the Ziz Valley. Lunch will be enjoyed in Midelt or at a scenic spot en route. As we traverse the Middle Atlas Mountains, keep an eye out for Barbary apes in the cedar forests. We will also take a break in Ifrane before continuing on to Fes. Your 4-day tour from Marrakech to Fes will conclude with a drop-off at your Riad in Fes.
